Remove ticks correctly
If you have discovered a tick on your body, remove it quickly and completely without squeezing or stressing the bloodsucker! Unnecessary force, such as pulling, wiggling, levering, dripping or spraying with chemical substances, puts the tick under stress and increases the risk of transmission. As there are barbs on the biting apparatus, I recommend only twisting, which makes them easier to loosen. The removal device should be usable all over the body, i.e. also in hard-to-reach places such as hair, belly button, groin, etc.
Due to the risk of injury, please do not use knives or pointed tweezers - especially around the eyes. The 3iX Tick Lasso from Sweden is best suited for gentle removal. It fulfils all criteria and ensures quick and painless removal, which is especially important for small children and small animals.
- Push out the lasso and place it around the tick.
- Then gently press the round top into the skin as close to the tick as possible. Release the button and point the pin upwards, keeping the top pressed into the skin.
- Turn the pin between your fingers, (one full turn), in any direction. The tick is now loosened. Disinfect the bite site.
To kill the tick, the tip of the Tick Lasso can then be lightly tapped against a hard object (hold the button while doing this).
